Old Vs. New
This photography series focuses on buildings that have been re purposed over the years. In most of the images you can see that the buildings were constructed for a specific company or business in mind. But after many years, even decades, and hard economical times these buildings have been renovated for a new purpose, all while keeping their original curbside charm.
At the time of this series, the economy took a turn for the worse. Businesses were going bankrupt, building development came to a halt, and financial stability was no longer common. Facing all of these new challenges in a society that is always hungry for change forced business owners to become creative when starting new businesses. This series forces us to evaluate the past and see how it has both affected and lead us to where we are today. The average person walking down the street might not notice that these buildings were once used for something else.
